About the Cottage
Elmtrees Cottage is superbly located just 2 minutes easy walk from the golden sands of Harlyn Bay beach. It is next to Harlyn Bay Inn and just 3 miles drive from Padstow.
Harlyn Bay is one of the ‘7 bays for 7 days’ all found within 5 miles of the house. It is a safe, family and dog friendly beach renown for it’s surfing and water sports. Flanking the wide sandy bay are numerous rock pools, ideal for the inquisitive child or budding naturalist.
Harlyn is a small hamlet found directly on the beach. Nearby is the vibrant St Merryn village where most of your shopping needs can be met and also offers several excellent restaurants and bistros for eating out. Padstow is a popular small town with a wide variety of shops and interesting venues. It can also boast that it’s is the start of the Camel Trail, ideal for safe family cycling and walking from Padstow to Wadebridge, Bodmin or Camelford. There are wonderful golf courses located in nearby Trevone and Constantine.
Elmtrees cottage is a modern warm end terrace house built as part of the Harlyn Inn complex before being bought by the present owners, and has very recently been completely redecorated and refurnished to a very high standard. At present The Harlyn Inn is closed for redevelopment.
The cottage offers 3 bedrooms which sleeps 6, one double bedroom with ensuite, one double bedroom, and one bedroom with bunk beds. It also has a large family bathroom, open plan sitting room and a dining area/kitchen. The kitchen is very well equipped with an electric oven and hob, washing machine, dishwasher and everything else you might need to make your stay enjoyable. Stair gates and a travel cot can be provided. We do ask you to provide your own doggy towels and throws to protect the furniture. Outside is a gravelled and securely enclosed garden, ideal for children and dogs. There is a table and sofa seating as well as a barbecue and fire pit for you to use during your holiday.
Elmtrees Cottage is our second home- we love Harlyn so much we want to share it with you. Recently refurbished to a high standard, we hope that you enjoy staying there as much as we do!
